Alex Sargent - Creative Original Media This page is to advertise my work as a Digital Creative.

With over 15 years of experience in creative design, I am a skilled and professional creative who has worked across a variety of industries, including post-production, publishing, and design. After completing my honours degree in Digital Film Production, I began my career at several renowned post-production editing houses in London, including the BBC, where I honed my skills in guiding projects from concept to completion. In addition to my post-production work, I spent four years in creative design and publishing, specializing in both print and digital for a Formula One-based magazine. This experience sharpened my ability to create high-end designs under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with musicians spanning multiple decades—from the 70s to the 2000s—gaining valuable insight into the creative process across different fields. This has allowed me to build a versatile skill set and collaborate effectively with creatives from all walks of life. Known for my approachable, well-mannered, and team-oriented approach, I pride myself on helping clients bring their ideas to life, ensuring a smooth transition through all stages of production. Whether in design, post-production, or publishing, I’m dedicated to delivering exceptional results for every project I work on. OFFICIAL SELECTION — LA PUNK FILM FESTIVAL 🎬⚡

Super exciting news!

Fix Me In The Mix – Recorded on Borrowed Time has been officially selected for the 10th Anniversary LA Punk Film Festival in Los Angeles.

There couldn’t be a more fitting festival for this film.

Fix Me In The Mix follows my father, Mat Sargent, a musician who, after receiving an HIV diagnosis and a devastating prognosis, channelled fear, anger and uncertainty into an extraordinary creative project — bringing together more than 200 musicians in a stand against stigma.

As Mat’s son Alex Sargent I grew up watching these events unfold. Using over 170 hours of archival footage spanning two decades, I’ve brought together the story of his determination to see the project through — bringing artists together across generations and genres. At its heart, it’s a story about music, friendship, resilience and refusing to be defined by a diagnosis.

Some stories refuse to stay in the past.

Decades ago, my father, Mat Sargent, was told that an HIV diagnosis would likely give him only a few years to live.

Instead, he brought together more than 200 musicians to make something that had never been attempted before — using music, creativity and collaboration to challenge the stigma surrounding HIV.

I grew up watching that story unfold.

Years later, I found myself going back through 170 hours of archive footage from those original studio sessions and discovering a film inside it.

Fix Me In The Mix - Recorded On Borrowed Time is that film.

It’s a story about creativity under pressure, survival through collaboration, and what people can create when they refuse to give up.

This new trailer offers another glimpse into that journey — and into a piece of my father’s extraordinary legacy.

I’m incredibly proud to have helped bring this powerful and deeply moving campaign for Blood Cancer UK to life.

Working alongside an amazingly talented team, we helped shape the creative direction and visual language of the piece, inspired by the honesty and imagination found in a child’s drawings.

This animation tells an emotional story through the innocent perspective of a child trying to make sense of the frightening changes happening inside the body. At the heart of the narrative is “Ant” — an antibody struggling to understand and cope with the body’s new reality.

Through this gentle and imaginative lens, the film explores themes that are deeply human, emotional, and incredibly difficult to comprehend, making the story all the more powerful.

What makes this piece so special is its ability to communicate something so serious with warmth, sensitivity, and humanity. A beautiful example of storytelling that not only connects emotionally but also raises awareness around blood cancer in a thoughtful and accessible way.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this campaign to life. I’m honoured to have been part of something with such heart, purpose, and meaning.

Together, let’s continue the fight against cancer.
