Living with art
I have a beautifully dense dark canvas in my house. I’ve loved it from afar for some years, but this last year I was able to borrow it from the artist.
Ruth McCabe has loaned me the piece as I loved it so much and could not afford to buy it. What a great idea it is to loan artwork to people, especially if they really appreciate the work.

A small aggregate quarry near me. I jumped the fence to capture the low winter sun as it struck this imposing concrete wall. I'm a big fan of concrete structures and this wall keyed into that love as well as being reminiscent of the monolith in 2001 A Space Odyssey. I took hundreds of shots as the sun was setting, eventually leaving after dark. Often photography is quick and simple and at other times one has to really work a moment.
