One of my favourite things about photographing children is seeing the friendships they have with one another. The cheekiness, the giggles, the little moments of love and the way they can make each other laugh without even trying.

These are the moments I love capturing, because one day they’ll look back and remember just how much fun they had growing up together. 🤍

From singing and dancing to getting every little one involved, Mrs Yorkshire knows exactly how to bring the fun! 💃🎶

I loved capturing her in her element at the opening of Little Terrace Wakefield, and it’s safe to say, the children were loving every minute! 🥰

One of my favourite things about photographing children is capturing them when they’re simply having fun. When they’re laughing, dancing, playing and completely caught up in the moment, you get to see their true personalities shine through ✨

Bubbles, giggles and a little bit of magic… 🫧✨

There’s something about bubbles that can turn an ordinary moment into something completely magical.

Running after them. Trying to catch them. Watching them float away. Laughing when they pop.

It all started with a daisy…

I took this photograph when I was just 4 years old, using my auntie’s little camera.
I obviously didn’t know it at the time, but I think this was the beginning of something…

I loved taking any little camera around and photographing the things I found interesting. I wasn’t thinking about composition, settings or whether a photograph was “good”.
I just saw something I liked and wanted to capture it.

Fast forward 16 years, and I’m still doing exactly that.

The camera is a little bigger, I’ve learnt a lot more and somehow that little interest has grown into Caitlin Miller Photography. 🤍

So when I think about World Photography Day, I don’t just think about the photographs I’ve taken recently. I think about the little girl who picked up a camera and photographed a daisy simply because she could.

It all started with a daisy… 🌼

And I wonder what she’ll photograph next...
