At the moment Artemis II surpassed the Apollo 13 record for the furthest any humans had travelled from Earth this popped up on my Apple Watch.
For those that don't know Snoopy is very significant. Firstly, Snoopy and Charlie Brown were the call signs for the Apollo 10 command and lunar module. Secondly, the Apollo space caps were white with black ear comms that were named Snoopy caps. Thirdly, there is a silver Snoopy pin awarded to NASA staff who excel at safety. After the Apollo 1 disaster there were posters with Snoopy promoting safety. These pins go aboard space flights so those receiving a pin get one that's been to space.
A very touching moment when it was requested that a bright spot on the moon be named after the commander, Reid Wiseman, of Artemis II's late wife, Carroll ❤️
