📸 Practical Evening – Studio Photography with Models
📅 Thursday 2nd July

📍 Salem Hall, Salem Lane, Wellingborough NN8 4JT
Join us for a fantastic hands-on practical evening photographing four profesional models – in two professionally designed studio sets. ✨📷
Our club member Andy has created two exciting themed setups:
🖤 Gothic Mansion – featuring a themed backdrop and atmospheric lighting.
💨 Black Set – using coloured gels, smoke, and dramatic lighting for creative portraits.
Everyone will have the opportunity to photograph in both sets, work with the models, and experiment with different lighting techniques. 📸💡
The models are experienced and professional, making them a pleasure to work with, and if you've never photographed models before, don't worry! Andy will be on hand throughout the evening to provide guidance on:
✨ Working with models
💡 Using studio lighting
📷 Camera settings
🎯 Flash triggers and lighting techniques
There will also be a short refreshment break during the evening. ☕😊
💷 Cost: £5 per person (cash only – card payments are not available).
⚠️ Important: Places are limited, so we need to know exactly who is attending. Please make sure you:

📷 Please note: This practical evening is designed for camera users only. Phone cameras won't be suitable, as they cannot work with the studio flash lighting in the same way as dedicated cameras.
Whether you're new to portrait photography or have plenty of experience, this promises to be a fun, creative, and educational evening. Everyone is welcome! 🙌

📸 Traditional Photography Print Competition 📷✨🖤
What a fantastic evening celebrating traditional photography! 🎉 It was wonderful to see images presented exactly as they were captured and printed — no editing, no cropping, just pure photography in its original form. 📷👏
A huge thank you to everyone who entered the competition, submitted their work, and came along to support another brilliant evening at the club. Your support makes these evenings so special! 🙌😊
🏆 Congratulations to Andy for winning both the Highly Commended award and the Medal 🥇🌟 with two fantastic images. A very well-deserved achievement! 👏📸

The second half of the evening was a real trip down memory lane. 🕰️ We had the pleasure of viewing a wonderful collection of photographs taken on film by club members from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. 📷🎞️ It was fascinating to see how photography was practised back then, admire the quality of the prints, and enjoy some truly memorable images from the club's history. What a fantastic way to celebrate photography through the years! 🖤✨

🏆 Traditional Photography Print Competition
Join us this Thursday for one of our most unique competition evenings of the season! 📷✨
This competition celebrates photography in its purest form. All images are presented exactly as they were taken and printed — no editing, no cropping, no digital adjustments. Just the original photograph as captured by the photographer and printed for display.
It's a fantastic opportunity to see how images look straight from the camera and to appreciate the skill involved in getting everything right at the moment the shutter is pressed 👏
As always, there will be plenty of insightful commentary, great photography, and an enjoyable evening with fellow photography enthusiasts.
Whether you're a club member or simply interested in photography, you're very welcome to come along and join us 😊

Wellingborough Photographic Club is delighted to invite everyone to visit our Exhibition of Photography at the Castle Theatre! 🎉

Our members have put together a wonderful collection of images showcasing a variety of photographic styles, subjects, and creativity. Whether you enjoy landscapes, portraits, wildlife, street photography, or something a little different, there is something for everyone to enjoy 📷✨
