6 years of running a biz! 🥰📸

Today marks six years since I gave my photography business a real shot… and I guess it worked. 💪🏼

Over the years I’ve met some truly incredible people, told countless brand stories, learnt sooo much and built a business that feels more me than ever. I am so grateful that I am here. If only 2020 Shan could have seen into the future…

And today I also got my official ADHD diagnosis on paper and now looking back, so much of my journey suddenly makes sense. I’ve spent these years finding my own way of doing things, and now I understand why. 🧡

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me, booked me, recommended me and cheered me on over the last six years. Can’t believe some of you want to work with me so much hahahah! 😂

Checking the calendar and looking at these photos… I’ve realised I’m about a year behind on sharing client spotlights 😅

I know this because I’ve shot with Molly pickle designs twice during this time and this week we are shooting the new collection which is very exciting and I feel honoured to always have a sneak peek!

Here are some photos from the last two launches which included beautiful prints, clothing, baby wear and homeware in her signature pointillism style, all inspired by her love of the coast and nature. 🦐

We shot her collection in situ, styling pieces to show how they live and breathe in real homes (and real wardrobes!) and this is why I love shooting lifestyle imagery!

It gives your audience something more than just a product shot - it helps them feel how your work fits into their life. How it might look on their walls, in their home, on their kids or as part of their everyday.

As a maker, you put so much time and care into creating your products… don’t let the photos be an afterthought! Your work deserves imagery that reflects its quality, its value and its story. 🧡

We had such an amazing time yesterday at the Kent Women in Business Awards! 🏆

It was wonderful to watch so many inspiring women on stage sharing their business stories.

I felt honoured to be selected as a finalist for Young Business Woman of the Year which now sits proudly in my little home office. I’ve been running my biz for almost 6 years, 1.5 of that has been full time and I’m so proud that I now get to be in rooms like this with other brilliant businesses being built by women, and the supportive community that surrounds us. ✨

Lovely to see friends, clients (who are also now friends!), some new faces and a mini-reunion from our wedding 🧡

You are all so amazing! Well done everyone.

Another pan-tastic event in Westgate! 🥞

Loved capturing the Westgate Pancake Races this morning, a tradition that dates back to the 50s.

We were blessed with sunny skies thankfully! So much laughter (didn’t expect to see a dinosaur running along Station Road) and a proper community feel from start to finish.

Well done to everyone who took part! 🏃🥇

Very grateful to be sharing that I have been selected as a finalist for Young Businesswoman of the Year at the Kent Women in Business Awards 2026! ✨

There are some incredible names in this category and across the awards too (hello to some of my actual clients lol) and it feels pretty wild to be included alongside people I genuinely look up to. 🥹

When I started this business, awards never even crossed my mind!! It was about freedom, autonomy, being comfortable, being creative and building something that actually felt like me. And here we are. 🥰

I have to thank all the amazing people I get to work with. The clients who trust me with their stories, invite me into their businesses, leave the kindest words and make my work genuinely enjoyable and fulfilling. You’re the reason I love what I do!

I get to spend my days hanging out with creative founders and small business owners - chatting about ideas, documenting what you’re building and helping you feel seen and confident in your work - and that is such a privilege.

Every shoot, testimonial, message and recommendation has carried me here and I am so forever grateful to you!!! Thank you a million times!!!! 🧡📸✨
