Please take your suet cages down today if they are still hanging outside.

Standard suet is pure animal fat, and it acts like a weapon against wild birds when temperatures cross the 90-degree mark. Once melted fat coats an adult bird or a nestling's feathers, their natural waterproofing is destroyed, leaving them completely vulnerable to hypothermia during summer storms.

Switch your setups to fresh fruit, safflower, or mealworms for the summer months.

Egyptian geese have taken to standing on a post either side of the road here.
Need to teach their three youngsters the green cross code though as they wondered across the road in this mornings mist only being missed by several cars thanks to drivers being alert.
