Your experience of your wedding day is my number one priority.

Because when people are relaxed,
having fun,
spending time with the people they love,
and fully in the moment...

the photos usually follow naturally.

That’s why I spend time getting to know my couples.

And why I’m not trying to be some invisible “fly on the wall” all day either.

Your photographer is with you for a huge part of the wedding.

I think it’s important you actually enjoy having them there.

I want the photography to add to the experience of the day...
not take you away from it.

Less performing.

Less awkward posing.

More laughing,
talking,
dancing,
hugging people,
and properly enjoying the day while it’s happening.

Because it goes quickly.

And the best photos usually come from people who are fully there in the moment.

I don’t think there’s one “right” way to do a wedding.

I think you should do what feels right for you.

Not what Instagram says.

Not what tradition says.

Not what other people expect.

Just work out what matters to the two of you...
and build the day around that.

Some people want a huge party.

Some want something small and quiet.

Some keep every tradition.
Some skip most of them.

None of those are better than the others.

The best weddings aren’t the most perfect ones.

They’re the ones where people relax...
have fun...
and enjoy the day with the people they love.

This is why I’ll never complain about being dragged up onto a moor in the North York Moors at sunset.

Ten quiet minutes away from the wedding.
No overcomplicated posing.
No forcing moments.

Just incredible light, breathtaking views, and two people enjoying a moment together in the middle of it all.

Honestly... this photograph didn’t need much from me.

Sometimes the best thing you can do as a photographer is simply put couples in a beautiful place, give them space, and let the atmosphere do the rest.

This is exactly why I love weddings in places like this.

Big landscapes.
Wild weather.
Golden sunsets.
Venues that actually feel connected to their surroundings.

It changes the entire atmosphere of the day... and the photographs that come from it.
