The Wren, now officially the UK's most common breeding bird, and relative to its size it also has the loudest song. Turn your sound on and volume up !

I absolutely love this time of year ! so many fledglings about today, there seemed to be Blue Tit chicks everywhere. Here’s a few photos from today, one of the Blue Tit chicks, a juvenile Song Thrush and juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker that had found something so big it didn’t seem to know what to do with it 🤣. It was also nice to see the Spotted Flycatchers have finally arrived from South Africa.

A few photos from a nice walk along the River Severn this morning, I managed to get a few photos of a large brood of Canada goose goslings swimming along the river, and it was fascinating to see how the adult geese corralled the goslings and adopted a defensive pose as they swam past me even though I was quite a distance away on the opposite bank.

A few photos from my visit to Pendeford Mill Nature Reserve today, not much luck with the wildlife, but the reserve was looking particularly beautiful. It was nice to see some young Rabbits though, once a common sight but numbers have plummeted over recent years due to Rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease.

So pleased to come across what sounded like a large population of Reed Warblers that have recently arrived back after spending their winter in Africa. They were busy flitting through the reed beds, luckily I managed to get a few clear shots before they disappeared again.
