a few of my favourite places in Barcelona 🇪🇸
Both iconic spots and a number of hidden gems in Barcelona that I can’t believe so many people miss!
Here are 9 places that are absolutely worth adding to your Barcelona itinerary:
1. 🎼 Palau de la Música Catalana - One of the most beautiful concert halls in the world, famous for its breathtaking stained-glass ceiling.
2. 🏡 Casa Vicens - Gaudí’s first major house, full of colourful tiles and intricate details, and much quieter than his more famous works.
3. ⛪ Sagrada Família - Barcelona’s iconic basilica and Gaudí’s masterpiece. A must-see, especially for the incredible light inside.
4. 🏰 Palau Güell - One of Gaudí’s lesser-known gems, with a spectacular rooftop covered in colourful mosaic chimneys.
5. 🐉 Casa Batlló - One of the city’s most recognisable buildings, inspired by nature and often called the “House of the Dragon.”
6. 🌆 Mirador Torre Glòries - One of the best viewpoints in Barcelona, offering panoramic views across the city towards the Sagrada Família.
7. 🌳 Parc de la Ciutadella - Barcelona’s most beautiful park, home to the stunning Cascada Monumental fountain and perfect for a relaxing stroll.
8. 🍹 L’Àtic - A rooftop bar with incredible sunset views overlooking Barcelona Cathedral. Perfect for an evening Aperol Spritz.
9. 🌅 La Greca - A beautiful terrace restaurant with views towards the National Art Museum of Catalonia, especially magical at sunset.
