AKUFO-ADDO PLAYS 'FATHER OF THE BRIDE' AS BOZOMA SAINT JOHN MARRIES KEELY WATSON IN ACCRA

ACCRA – Marketing powerhouse and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John has officially tied the knot with entrepreneur Keely Watson in a lavish traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony, held on Friday, August 21, at the private residence of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In a deeply symbolic gesture, the former President stepped in to play the role of father of the bride. With Bozoma's father unable to travel for the occasion, Nana Akufo-Addo received the marriage on behalf of the family at his Nima residence, a moment widely described as a profound honor. The couple, who became Ghanaian citizens in 2022 and 2024 respectively, honoured Bozoma's Nzema and Ahanta royal heritage by exchanging vows in custom Kente cloth. The spectacular Kente, handwoven in Bonwire, took over four months to create, and was paired with layers of showstopping gold jewelry.

A STAR-STUDDED AFFAIR

The wedding brought together nearly 1,000 guests, including Ghanaian political figures like former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and former Second Lady Samira Bawumia, alongside Hollywood stars from the RHOBH cast, supermodel Ashley Graham, and actor Yaya DaCosta. Nigerian Afrobeats icon Tiwa Savage was seen dancing energetically at the reception, while Ghanaian hitmakers KiDi, Gyakie, and Efya Nokturnal also performed.

This ceremony marks the first of two celebrations, with a second, Western-style wedding planned in Los Angeles on November 21. Guests were treated to a towering five-tier Sweetintins Couture Cakes confection, and the party outfits featured designs by Ghanaian designer Mimmy Yeboah. The lavish event stands as a powerful testament to Bozoma's deep connection to Ghana, showcasing her heritage as she begins this new chapter of her life.

ACCRA – Environment, Science and Technology Minister-designate Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings has issued a stark warning to illegal miners and their enablers, declaring that anyone found using banned substances like mercury will face the full force of the law—regardless of their status or connections.

"THE LAW MUST TAKE EFFECT"

Appearing before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Thursday, August 27, 2026, the Klottey-Korle MP laid out a no-nonsense approach to tackling Ghana's galamsey crisis . "Having found mercury at any site, action must be taken to ensure accountability, regardless of who is involved. Once the act is found to be illegal, the law must take effect," she stated .
