What the heck is a Vinyl BACKDROP? And WHY is it so important?! 👇
I hear you, especially the beginners in the food/Product Photography field...there is so much information out there when it comes to styling a scene, creating a cohesive portfolio for your blog/website.
And some of it? Just makes ZERO sense to you!! 🙂
But that's OK. Because if we knew everything we'd have nothing more to discover and talk about...boringgggg.
I first learnt about BACKDROPS nearly ten years ago when I started shooting my recipes for my then blog. And believe me I was really confused too!! Nothing made sense & it wasn't until I started using vinyls that i realised how much my work's result was upgraded!!
I experimented with lots of different materials & designs to finally understand how important it is to work with good quality surfaces!!
So, let's cut to the chase... What is a Vinyl Backdrop & Why is it important for your food/Product stories?
✅️Simply, a backdrop is the BASE of your scenery!!
It gives you the flexibility to work with various "materials" like wood, concrete, marble, tiles... & in the easiest way since it is SUPER LIGHT!! 👍
Backdrops give an immediate understanding of your story to the viewer (depending on the chosen design/color/texture), provide the overall feeling & sense of your image & mainly... they support your hero element to stand out!! ✨️✨️
✅️Is SUCH an important prop, cause it helps you create a cohesive image portfolio, upgrades the result of your work & gives a professional look to your projects & images!! ✨️✨️✨️
Of course, these infos are just the iceberg of the topic. But if you'd like to know more, sent or post your questions & I'll answer them in stories.
