One camera, one lens, and about 60,000 steps later... 🇬🇧

There is a unique energy in a 1-on-1 workshop that you just can't find in a group. This March in London, it wasn't just about the locations, it was about the process.

I had the pleasure of spending 4 intensive days with a dedicated photographer who was ready to challenge every old habit. We didn't just "take photos"; we talked about vision, we waited for the light to hit the Barbican's concrete just right, and we explored the "Less is More" philosophy until it clicked.

Watching a student’s "eye" evolve in real-time, seeing them simplify a chaotic London street into a minimalist masterpiece, is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Huge thanks to Rob for joining me for this marathon, your dedication was inspiring!

From the brutalist heights of the Barbican to the neon grit of Soho, we pushed the limits of what a single 50mm lens can do.

The full story of our March sessions, the gallery, and the technical breakdown is now live on my blog.

It was a distinct honor to be invited by the "Orion" Astronomical Society to deliver a lecture on "Introduction to Landscape Astrophotography" at the lecture hall of the Department of Geology, University of Patras.

Addressing a full house, I had the opportunity to break down the techniques and challenges of night photography. We explored the importance of meticulous planning, the strategic choice of optics, and the methods that empower photographers to capture the majesty of the cosmos with professional precision.

As a gesture of support to the local community and the attendees, I provided a custom NPF Calculator (Excel version) as a free resource. This tool simplifies the complex calculations required to avoid star trails, ensuring pinpoint stars in every long-exposure frame.

My sincere thanks to the board of "Orion" for the invitation and the exceptional hospitality, and to everyone who attended for their enthusiasm and insightful questions.

Keep Looking Up!

In Kythnos, an "Atzouras" is a standing stone in a threshing floor. But it’s also a term for someone who remains a bystander, refusing to take a stand.

In our latest project, Argiris challenges this stillness. Using repurposed materials: an old bicycle chain, a fan motor, and his grandfather's discarded barrel, he breathes movement into stone and metal, turning a childhood memory into a hauntingly beautiful kinetic sculpture.

Dive into the story behind the shadows and the craftsmanship that brings "Atzouras" to life.

I’m honoured to return as a 𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫 for this year’s 𝐅𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭.

Seeing the world through thousands of different eyes is the ultimate inspiration, but this year, I’m looking for something specific.
In a world of AI-generated perfection, I’m looking for reality.

AI can simulate light, but it can’t simulate the experience and the feeling of waiting for it. As a judge, I want to see your "human thumbprint", the raw, the imperfect, and the authentic moments that only a person behind a lens can capture.

I’ve just posted a new article on the blog about:

✅ The view from the jury table.
✅ Why your presence in the field is your greatest asset.
✅ How to prepare your work for international competitions.

After many months of quiet preparation, writing and erasing notes, scouting locations in both urban and remote settings, and speaking to some amazing people in the field of astronomy, I am proud to officially announce my upcoming documentary film: 𝗘𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗦𝗘𝗗.

Eclipsed is a film about our fading connection with the universe and it examines what it really means for humanity to lose its view of the stars, while also raising awareness about the effects of light-pollution on humans and the ecosystem in general.

Light pollution is not just an environmental issue, it is the loss of our cultural heritage and our sense of place in the cosmos, as currently 80% of humanity lives under light-polluted skies, and one-third of humanity can no longer see the Milky Way Galaxy from their homes.

At this point I want to introduce you to my amazing team:
I am honored to be working alongside my partner, Vaios Vitos (Co-Director & Co-Producer), whose vision is integral to the film’s development.

Supporting the production are our talented assistants, Angelos Tzortzakis and Konstantinos Mpakouris, two very talented photographers who bring fresh energy to our demanding on-location shoots.

However, it isn't only about the expeditions out in the field. It is also about the important work happening behind the scenes.

Together with film analyst and scriptwriter Dr. Konstantinos Kay Papathanasiou, and the renowned music composer Dreamstate Logic, we are creating a story that we hope will change the way you look at the sky.

The film is currently in full production, and our amazing team keeps working and traveling to many locations to document this silent crisis. We are aiming for a Global Festival Premiere in Fall 2026.

Four days in London, filled with good light, creativity, and inspiring moments behind our cameras.

From the quiet moments at sunrise to the laughter shared after long walks, this workshop was about much more than taking photos, it was about connection, inspiration, and the love for light.

I’m deeply grateful to: Andreea, Vicky, Angelos, Ntinos & Vassilis who joined and made these days so special!

Here’s a small glimpse of what we experienced together.

Taking a moment to breathe in the London air. There’s a quiet beauty in these city parks, especially as the seasons turn and the light shifts. The bare trees tell a story, and it's a reminder that every scene, no matter the weather, offers an opportunity for a compelling shot.

Speaking of making the most of a moment, I'm excited to share a new article on my website: "5 Essential Filters for Travel Photography in Autumn."
It's all about how the right tools can help you capture the magic of the season, no matter where your travels take you. You can read the full article in the following link:

And now for some exciting news! Not only will you leave my London workshop with a fresh perspective, but thanks to our friends at HOYA Global , you'll also get a free filter to add to your camera bag!

With only 2 seats remaining, now is the perfect time to grab your spot and level up your skills (and your gear!).
Hope to see you there!

Urban Geometry, or simply, Tetris.

Sometimes, you have to literally look at the world from a new angle to see the creative possibilities. For this shot, I wanted to turn the complex design of these urban giants into a game of Tetris, finding the perfect lines and blocks in the chaos.

This idea of shifting perspective is a huge part of my creative process, and something I'm excited to share with you.
If you're looking for a new creative angle, save the dates for my workshop: October 24-26. It's going to be a great opportunity to explore and learn together.

Sometimes I prefer not to capture the view itself, but rather the way people respond and connect with the scene in front of them.

The view from Horizon 22 is of course magnificent and absolutely worth photographing. But this time, I chose to step back from the windows and focus instead on how people experienced the view, how they looked, paused, and spent their time on the observation deck.

This idea of "seeing" rather than just "looking" is something I'm passionate about, and it's a core theme we'll be exploring in my upcoming workshop!

Join me in October 24-26 for an immersive experience designed to sharpen your creative eye while exploring the city of London!

London has always been one of those places that inspires me in countless ways.

Every time I walk its streets, I find new details in the architecture, new moods in the light, and new stories waiting to be told through the lens.

This October (24–26, 2025), I’ll be back in London for a very special photography workshop and I couldn’t be more excited to share this experience.

Together, we’ll explore the city’s iconic landmarks as well as its hidden corners, learning how to see and capture them in a way that is personal, creative, and meaningful.

For now, here’s a little monochrome glimpse of the city that continues to inspire me.
