I recently discovered Wine Not Wine Not Roatan in French Harbour, Roatán, near Bojangles, and it was such a great find. From the moment you walk in, you feel this warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to sit down, relax, and explore.
The place is filled with an incredible selection of wines from all over the world, and one thing that really stood out to me is that nothing they offer is bought locally—their wines, cheeses, and specialty products are imported, so you get to try things you normally wouldn’t find on the island. I told them I wanted a red wine that wasn’t too dry or overly fruity, but something nicely balanced, and they recommended the 2019 The Garajeest “Bruce” Cabernet Franc from South Africa. It was exactly what I was looking for. We paired it with their amazing beef carpaccio and charcuterie board, including a delicious blue cheese and an incredibly creamy cheese from England that I unfortunately can’t remember the name of—but it was fantastic.
Everything paired beautifully with the wine, and you can tell they really know their products and take the time to recommend something based on what you actually enjoy. If you’re in Roatán and love good wine, great cheese, charcuterie, or simply want to discover something different, definitely check out Wine Not in French Harbour. Awesome experience and highly recommended!
