• The first part of a storytelling series •

This is one of those posts where I’d like to write everything and nothing at the same time.

When I feel like that, it’s always hard to decide whether to write the “nothing,” which I can’t anymore, because I’ve already written something. Yet that something still feels too little to be everything.

Anyway, I loved it.
I love getting to know personalities, life stories, human connections, new places and spaces, and the way people connect to them. And to each other.
Especially a mother and her child…💕
It’s simply magical to experience a photoshoot like this.

Storytelling through images.

I once read in a photography book that a story becomes most captivating when it starts from afar, and we let the viewer in slowly, step by step.

That’s how I feel about it too.
I love when there’s space.
When at first, we only see the landscape, the colors, the movements.
And then gradually, we get closer, until suddenly, it’s no longer the place we see, but the person.

Here’s Enci.
Enci, the one I prayed for every single day until I was 16, and kept nagging Mom to finally give me a sibling. And then she arrived.
From that moment on, my world was complete: I had a little sister I had been waiting 17 years for. I’m still grateful that we have each other. Even if our lives are on completely different paths now, the bond between us is forever. 💛

And the photoshoot? 😃 Well… she hates it. But I think we still managed to bring out the best in her, something that reflects those few hours we spent together, who she really is, and what life looks like right now for a 14-year-old girl (nooo, she’s not always glued to her phone… khmmm 😅).

Dear followers,

I’m back!

Over the past few months, I’ve been rethinking my processes, how I use social platforms, and Dare to Reflect is making a fresh start with a brand-new look that embodies my feelings.

The “Photography & More” part reflects that I didn’t want to limit this page to photography content only. So besides photos, you can also expect posts about motherhood, butterfly keeping, and who knows what else – but in English.

I’ve decided that Facebook will be the home of my English posts, while Instagram will continue in Hungarian.

From now on, I’ll do my best to show up here regularly and share more content with you.

I’ve been so excited to share this series…

The more I photograph, the more I feel like I’m finding my voice through the camera.
I’ve realized how important it is to me that my images capture not only moments but also feelings—
Those deep, unspoken connections you experience when it’s just the two of you—in that unique, intimate moment.

As a mother of two girls, I know these feelings all too well.
I understand how special the bond between a mother and her daughter(s) truly is.
With this series, I tried to capture the depth of this extraordinary connection—so you, too, can see and feel what words can hardly express.

I photographed Imola and her family back in December – it was only the second family photoshoot of my life, and right away with three kids. Looking back, it truly felt like the deep end, but I have to say these photos are still some of my favorites. Every time I look at them, I feel the same thing: a pure, genuine sense of family bliss shines through. They’re simply beautiful.
