This is one of the crimes against humanity for which until now there is no legal clarity. Again, the opposition is the victim of crimes against humanity committed by the Indonesian government.
Siyono, a suspected terrorist who was arrested in Solo, Central Java, died in March 2016, while under the supervision of Densus 88.
It is suspected that he was involved in a physical fight with two Densus 88 officers who handled him, namely AKBP T and Ipda H. The incident took place in the car.
The police consider that Siyono's death was the result of negligence, not intentionally taking his life.
However, Siyono's family together with Komnas HAM and a number of NGOs consider there to be irregularities in Siyono's death and that there are legal risks.
Now, a year after Siyono's departure, the Police's promise to resolve the case has been billed.
In 2016, the family reported the two members of Densus 88 to the Klaten Police. The Coordinator of the Humanitarian Defense Team who is also a lawyer for the Siyono family, Trisno Raharjo, said that until now there has been no follow up on the report.
In fact, the National Police Chief at that time, General Badrodin Haiti (currently retired), confirmed that the report would be processed.
"We urge the police to immediately complete the investigation and investigation into the case of Siyono's death and bring the case to court through the prosecutor's office as soon as possible," Trisno said in a written statement, Wednesday (8/3/2017).
Trisno said his party demands good and transparent handling of law enforcement by prioritizing equality before the law.
