KingKlix Photography

KingKlix Photography Family and Portrait Photographer, specialising in Childrens portraits. My style is Réportage, which is a relaxed, informal approach.

I am a local artist and portrait photographer who specialises in taking photos of children and family occasions. I believe that this captures the true personality of the subject unlike the more formal studio setting. My job is to provide you with authentic shots which truly capture the moments which matter most. I am available for Christenings, Communions, Confirmations, Public events, Family occa

sions, Weddings etc. I will come to your home (or place of choice) and I will capture the subject matter using natural lighting. I can also provide you with fully edited shots, customised to your own individual preferences. I can also supply a cinematic slideshow on dvd with backing music themed to the occasion, (or of your choice) if you require, this is a novel and different way to view your photos. I believe that a photograph should tell a story and capture the memory of that moment, this is especially true when working with children as it captures their true personality, giving you a lifetime memory of those truly precious early years. Check out my portfolio to see examples of my work. Affordable, competitive prices, contact me with your requirements. I can be contacted through this page, by private message if you prefer, and also at "[email protected]". I have studied art and can promise you an artistic approach to your photos, I am also available for murals and window painting with 25 years experience in both. Thank you for looking and I look forward to your comments.

Feeling a little emotional after chatting with my dad on the phone...
He's well, thank God, and I probably don't make as much effort as I could normally to see him, but not being able to see him, is a different reality.
He is one of those high risk people with his health history and of course age....
I try not to think about that too much because I know that Phil is taking great care of him as she always does.
But it made it very real to me, how awful it must be right now for all of those who cannot be with the ones they love.
How difficult it must be for the front line workers leaving their families to go and do the most vital, yet dangerous work every day.
Knowing the risks, as the leave their homes, worrying for their loved ones and yet trying their hardest to keep everyone else's loved ones safe.
Please keep this in your thoughts as the weeks pass, don't get complacent, this situation is far from over, and that's a sad reality that we must accept.
However, it will eventually get better and we will be able to return to some level of normality, although I believe it will be a different normality to what we have known in the past.
Please, when that time comes, hold those you love close and don't forget what it feels like not being able to be with them, learn from this crisis, spend more time with the people who matter, continue to have the highest respect for all the front line workers and essential workers who are out there every day doing what needs to be done.
Remember, we are all in this together and only by coming together as a community, town, county, country, can we overcome this.
We need to pull together by staying apart....
It's difficult and upsetting, but the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.
I'll see my Dad soon and I'll be able to throw my arms around him and hug him tightly. So for now, I'll sacrifice that so that I can see him again.
Please everyone, stay safe, keep everyone else safe.
The world as we knew it is changing, we can affect that change positively...
Do your part!!!!

Today, I had the absolute honour of meeting a very special group of 8 year olds, and taking their photos.
These children are so beautiful, and to look at them, you would think that they are perfectly healthy.
However, these incredible little humans were over here from Chernobyl, all organized by the lovely Lily and her charity Candle of Grace
From September these awesome people will be looking for families in Mayo to be host families to the children arriving next year. The group will be 8-9 year olds.
The more families who are willing to host a child, means more children who can avail of the opportunity to come here.
It is estimated that a month in Ireland improves their immune system by two years.
These children are third generation victims of the most awful atrocity in history, which will continue to have far reaching consequences for them and their families for a long time to come.
The Irish people are wonderful at helping others and from my own personal experience,I know that the people of Ballinrobe and Mayo are just incredible at giving, of their time and resources, when someone is in need
If you think that you would like to host one of these special children next year, please message lily of Grace, or let me know and I will pass her number on to you.
I will post the pics of the gorgeous children shortly.
Please help if you think you can

On June 25th 1989, I walked up the aisle as Elizabeth Mc Donald and walked back down as Liz King.
I married my best friend on his 21st birthday, I was just 20 years old.
Today, we are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
So much has happened in that time.
We bought a house, sold it again and moved.
Became parents to an amazing young man.
Changed jobs, had periods of unemployment.
Money worries and more affluent times.
Made friends, lost friends, lost parents....lived through some extremely tough and trying times.
Struggled with health issues, anxiety and depression.
Fought and made up again....
It has by no means been a bed of roses.....it has been life!
A life of shared experiences, both good and bad, happy and sad,
Difficult at times, easy other times.
The one thing that has remained consistent, is that we are still together!
We have struggled and fought for our relationship and most importantly, we have never given up on each other.
There have been times, when we both considered leaving, as you do, when things get tough.
But somehow, we have managed to stay together, because this is who we are.
We are a couple..... Mike and Liz.

We are parents, we are housemates,we are friends, we have shared responsibilities, which we took on together, but I think the real reason we have survived, is our enduring love for each other.
And although there have been times when we questioned that.....
What other reason is there?
I'm blessed to call this man my husband.
The father of our son.
He is hard working and I have to admit, patient... because life with me has never been a fairytale.
But, he has always been here, by my side.
I'm not saying he's a saint...lol ....far from it.....but we have a bond, and while I might not always say it...I'm truly grateful that he is in my life.
Happy anniversary Michael, and Happy birthday....
Your other half.
