Some personal shots I took back in 2018 during my walks around the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks. I couldn't help but share the images on here because I loved these glass pieces. This is from the temporary glass exhibition CAUTION! Fragile - Irish Glass: Tradition in Transition.

The exhibition discussed the history and social experience of working in the Waterford Crystal factory in Ireland. Glass artist Róisín de Buitléar approached three former employees, Glass members, Fred Curtis, Greg Sullivan and Eamonn Hartley, about collaborating on a project. They created a body of work and took inspiration for their designs from the National Museum of Ireland collections.

Artist Una Sealy leading the weekend art course, Musing at the National Gallery of Ireland in 2017. The course was apart of the international exhibition, Vermeer and the Masters of Genre Painting: Inspiration and Rivalry, held at the Gallery. The course took place in one of the historic rooms in the Gallery. The room was specifically chosen for it's large windows and natural light, an ideal space for all Vermeer enthusiasts. Between the beautiful natural light and the deep powered red walls, it was a dream to shoot in.

Always remember to look up! ✨

I visited the state apartments in Dublin Castle a few weeks ago and took this snap on my phone. It features the ornate ceiling of St Patrick's Hall which is one of Ireland's greatest ceremonial rooms. In 1788, the Italian artist Vincenzo Waldré began work on the painted ceiling which still survives today. The room was developed in the mid-eighteenth century as the Castle's ballroom. For many years it was the meeting place of the Knights of St Patrick, Ireland's chivalric order of knights.

450 years of Caravaggio ⚡Not only did the National Gallery of Ireland host an amazing exhibition, Beyond Caravaggio. They also played host to an amazing, jam packed Education Programme to accompany the exhibition! The photos shown feature to the work of the shadow-puppet performance group, Tales from the Shadows. A nod to the master of shadow and light himself!

Hello, my name is Aisling and I am the owner of the video and audio editing business, Sióg Media. Initially I started out as a freelance videographer in 2016 producing promotional content for clients. Over the years I have also established a full time career as a Learning & Engagement professional, working with numerous Irish National Cultural Institutions.

In 2021 I decided to rebrand and refocus my attention to editing and from there Sióg Media was born. I have a large amount of experience and understanding of audience needs and engagement, translating this experience into my videography practice.
