What a gorgeous wedding in sunny Dublin! We started the day at the Registry Office with their immediate family for a beautifully intimate ceremony. Sinéad was overcome with emotion as soon as they had a moment outside. She nearly had me going behind the camera too. I could instantly feel just how much love these two have for each other - I’m an empathetic photographer, what can I say! 🥹
We all hopped in taxis and headed to Stephen’s Green for their family portraits and to start their couple’s session. It was a hot day and Dublin was buzzing as always, perhaps a little extra with everyone getting excited for the eclipse that evening.
It was important to them that they shared some time together before heading to their drinks reception, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to stop into O’Donoghue’s for their first pint as husband and wife. The barman rang a bell as soon as they walked in, then brought them behind the bar to pour their own. Such a fun little core memory from their wedding day! 🍻
I then left them to enjoy some alone time together. I remember fondly from my own wedding how special those few private moments can be during the dinner call. When they returned, we had another little portrait session in The Shelbourne before they joined the rest of their guests.
Honestly, the perfect relaxed and intimate Dublin City wedding for such a fun couple. 🥂
