It’s been a while since I last posted here! 👋

I’ve been travelling a bit lately, and during my time in Ireland, I was lucky enough to experience some really clear skies. 🌌 So, of course, I had to take the opportunity to try my hand at astrophotography!

And this might surprise you… or maybe not! 😅

What you’re looking at is **the Pleiades (M45)**, also known as the Seven Sisters — an open star cluster in the constellation of Ta**us. ✨

This image is a stack of **140 frames**. I know, I know… I should have taken more! 😂 But that’s something to work on next time. For now, I treated this as an experiment and a chance to see what I could achieve with my current setup.

No tracking mount, no star tracking — just my camera on a tripod, shooting a timelapse. 📸

**My setup:**
🔭 Samyang 135mm f/1.8
📷 Sony A7S II
🌠 140 frames at 1 second each

That’s a total integration time of just **2 minutes and 20 seconds!**

For one of my first attempts at astrophotography, I’m genuinely surprised by the result. There’s still plenty to learn and improve, but that’s part of the fun — experimenting, learning from mistakes, and trying again!

Discovering Ballintoy Harbour – One of Northern Ireland's Most Photogenic Coastal Villages

Some places leave an impression long after you have returned home, and Ballintoy is certainly one of them.

During my journey along the spectacular Causeway Coastal Route, I discovered this small harbour village on the north coast of County Antrim. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, rocky shores and the endless Atlantic Ocean, Ballintoy combines breathtaking scenery with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay much longer than planned.

For photographers, walkers and anyone who enjoys wild coastal landscapes, Ballintoy is one of the highlights of Northern Ireland....
