How To Calibrate Your Camera Viewfinder (Diopter Adjustment Guide)
Ever look through your DSLR or mirrorless camera’s viewfinder and wonder why everything looks blurry or out of focus? 🤔
Most beginners assume there’s an issue with their lens or autofocus system, but the real fix is much simpler.
Right next to the viewfinder, there is a tiny wheel called the Diopter Adjustment Dial. This dial adjusts the viewfinder optics to match your individual eyesight—perfect if you wear glasses or have varying vision sharpness.
How to adjust it properly:
1. Turn on your camera and look through the viewfinder.
2. Focus your eye on the viewfinder’s digital text/icons (shutter speed, aperture, grid lines).
