Haroon Choudhary Demands CBI Inquiry into FCI Department

Jammu, August 22, 2026: Haroon Choudhary, Former State President BJP ST Morcha and Government FCI Consultative Member, today demanded a thorough CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in the procurement and supply of food grains by FCI in Jammu.
Choudhary alleged that ration is being procured from Punjab-based suppliers at low prices while Jammu-based suppliers are being ignored.
He further alleged that poor-quality grains, including grains reportedly affected by insects, are being supplied through the public distribution system.

He called for an independent investigation into the quality of food grains, stating that the health of poor and vulnerable beneficiaries cannot be compromised.

Choudhary said he has also taken up the matter with Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and sought appropriate action.
He further alleged that certain FCI employees, including Gaurav Sharma and Arvind, have accumulated assets worth crores in the names of relatives. He demanded that the Anti-Corruption Bureau immediately investigate the alleged disproportionate assets and register an FIR if wrongdoing is established.

Choudhary warned that he would organise a protest against the alleged irregularities and said he would not allow the health and rights of poor people to be compromised by the supply of substandard food grains. He demanded transparency, accountability and strict action after a fair and impartial investigation.đŸ«†

JKNPP (BHIM) HOLDS MEETING TO CHALK OUT STRATEGY FOR MISSION JAMMU STATE. CONDEMNS CUSTODIAL TORTURE OF YRS LEADERS.

Jammu August 02: A meeting of the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP - Bhim) was held today at the party office in Panjtirthi, Jammu, under the chairmanship of Party President Adv. Vilakshan Singh. The meeting was convened to discuss the future course of action regarding ‘Mission Jammu State’ and to address recent incidents of police high-handedness and human rights violations in the region.

Addressing party office-bearers during the meeting, Vilakshan Singh voiced strong concern over the continued administrative neglect of Jammu’s core interests. He reiterated that statehood for the Jammu region remains the sole permanent solution to safeguard the socio-economic rights, political identity, and employment prospects of its youth. He announced that JKNPP (Bhim) will intensify its movement and launch a mass public outreach campaign across all districts to mobilize support for ‘Mission Jammu State’.

Singh also took strong exception to the recent incident of alleged custodial torture of Sahil Singh, Vice President of Yuva Rajput Sabha as well as other members of the Sabha. Terming the incident a severe violation of fundamental rights and democratic norms, JKNPP (Bhim) President asserted that police forces must operate strictly within the ambit of the law and respect human dignity.

The party demanded an immediate, impartial, and high-level inquiry into the custodial abuse of the Yuva Rajput Sabha leaders. Vilakshan Singh urged senior police authorities and the Union Territory Administration to fix responsibility and take strict disciplinary and legal action against the officials involved to ensure public accountability and restore confidence in law enforcement.

Reaffirming the founding principles laid down by Late Prof. Bhim Singh, Vilakshan Singh emphasized that JKNPP (Bhim) will continue to stand firmly as a fearless voice against corruption, injustice, and state excesses, working relentlessly for the welfare and empowerment of the people of Jammu.

Others who addressed the meeting included Naresh Chib, Rajesh Gondhi, Rakesh Gupta, Rajan Jamwal, Rakesh Kumar, Sanjeev Verma and others.
