Here is the dashcam timelapse from my entire time in the U.S. this year, condensed into about 26 minutes. It's a bit long, but still enjoyable to watch, especially on a screen larger than a phone. I also recommend selecting the 4K resolution option when viewing it on a computer or TV. The video includes background music.

Another one from early July during the 1-2 weeks of active weather over Saskatchewan. This storm rotated for hours before going outflow dominated. This dash cam footage shows it all.

Some aurora from last night captured in this balcony timelapse, recorded between approximately 11:30 PM and 4:45 AM. Watch until the end to see noctilucent clouds appear along the northern horizon as dawn breaks.

Now that the very short-lived storm chasing season is pretty much over, I’m going to start posting some of my dashcam timelapse footage from earlier this year. The first video features a rotating supercell thunderstorm that moved through part of the city. I followed it from Perdue, where the storm initially formed, all the way to Smuts, where it began to weaken and transition into a more typical garden-variety thunderstorm.

Remember the day Saskatoon was under a tornado warning as a rotating supercell approached from the west and clipped the north end of the city? I put together this security camera footage from just south of the airport, showing how close the storm came to producing a tornado. Had a tornado formed, the touchdown would likely have occurred somewhere between Hampton Village and the airport. I've highlighted the area of interest in the video, watch closely!

This storm system triggered tornado warnings in the Marsden and Cut Knife areas on July 4. The chase is already nearly two weeks old, but now seems like a good time to catch up. The dusk and late-night photos were taken near Hafford and Radisson, and feature a different line of storms that developed later in the day.

Quick clip of the rope tornado close to the town of Dundurn, just south of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It almost produced a twin (closer to the center screen), but did not quite make it.

Here are the remaining photos of the same storm that produced the needle tornado near Dundurn on Friday. As it tracked east, the storm generated a couple of additional brief spin-ups and left a large swath of hail along its path. At one point, I had to stop on the highway and let an area of invisible rotation—only evident on radar—cross the Yellowhead before continuing. I followed the storm all the way to Wynyard before eventually turning back toward home.

Here is the needle tornado that came out of the storm over Dundurn yesterday afternoon. This was one of the few supercells that formed over the central part of the province last afternoon/evening hours.

I am starting to fall behind, but I will post more photos/timelapse from this storm and some earlier stuff in the coming days.
