वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय!

This first post is a tribute to the feet of Lord Ganesha, the Elephant God and presiding deity of all good beginnings in Hindu mythology.

In this photo the elephant may seem like expressing gratitude for the food or saluting. While capturing the photo, this behaviour was observed repetitively.

This is an instinctive behaviour where they do raise their trunks to smell, inspect, and assess food before eating, riding on their highly developed olfactory senses.
