I am deeply shattered by the loss of my mentor and Guru. He used to often remind me of the old Tamil proverb, 'தொட்டுக் காட்டாத வித்தை சுட்டுப் போட்டாலும் வராது'—emphasizing that true mastery cannot be acquired without the guiding touch of a master. Today, whatever level I have reached in photography, it is entirely because he chose to share that sacred touch and wisdom with me. He set an extraordinary standard in the world of photography that few could ever match. But beyond being an incredible teacher, he was truly a gem of a person—pure-hearted, kind, and a wonderful soul. I am eternally grateful to have been his student. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Sir. Your vision lives on through my lens.

என் குருநாதரின் மறைவு செய்தி கேட்டு அதிர்ச்சியும் மீளாத் துயரமும் அடைந்தேன். 'தொட்டுக் காட்டாத வித்தை சுட்டுப் போட்டாலும் வராது' என்று அவர் அடிக்கடி கூறுவார். இன்று நான் புகைப்படக் கலையில் இந்த நிலையை எட்டியிருக்கிறேன் என்றால், அதற்கு அவர் என் கரம் பிடித்து, நல்வழி காட்டி, கற்றுக்கொடுத்த அந்த 'தொட்டுக்காட்டிய' ஞானம் மட்டுமே காரணம். புகைப்படக் கலையில் அவர் ஒரு உன்னதமான தரத்தையும் எல்லையையும் வகுத்தவர். அவர் ஒரு சிறந்த ஆசிரியர் மட்டுமல்ல, தங்கமான குணம்கொண்ட ஒரு அற்புதமான மனிதர். எனக்குள் இருக்கும் கலைஞனை உருவாக்கிய அந்த மாபெரும் ஆசானின் ஆன்மா சாந்தியடைய இறைவனைப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறேன். அவருடைய நினைவுகளும், அவர் கற்றுத்தந்த கலையும் என் கேமராவின் வழியே என்றும் வாழும்.
