We were on our way to Alandi when we learned that the Indrayani River had flooded. The rains had forced the celebrations to be cancelled, there was no palkhi, and access to the temple was restricted.
Disappointed, but hopeful, we decided to visit Dehu the next morning.
What followed was an unexpected blessing—a peaceful darshan of Lord Vithoba, fewer crowds, and moments of devotion that felt deeply personal. In just a couple of hours, I captured photographs that reminded me why I love documenting places of faith.
Not every journey goes according to plan, but sometimes the detours become the most memorable part of the story.
