Editing is where raw footage turns into a story worth watching.
It guides emotion, pacing, and focus without the viewer even noticing.
Strong edits don’t show off — they quietly elevate every frame.
Quick Color Grading Rulebook 🌊🎥
1️⃣ Fix exposure first
Balance highlights (waves) + lift shadows (sand). No clipping.
2️⃣ Set white balance
Ocean = clean blues, sand = warm but natural. No green tint.
3️⃣ Add contrast gently
S-curve, not a punch. Keep the water soft.
4️⃣ Control highlights
Waves should glow, not burn.
5️⃣ Boost blues & aquas
Saturate slightly, shift aqua toward blue for cinematic water.
6️⃣ Warm the sand
Tiny push toward orange/yellow = beach feel.
7️⃣ Sharpen lightly
Texture in waves, not crunchy edges.
8️⃣ Add subtle fade
Lift blacks a touch for a smooth transition look.
9️⃣ Final check
Looks good paused AND in motion? You’re done.
🎬 Rule: If it feels over-edited, pull it back.
