Motherhood is truly a beautiful journey… and I feel blessed that the Almighty chose me for it.
A woman does not become a mother only after giving birth to a child. Her journey into motherhood begins much earlier… through the women who shape her soul.
For me, it began with my grandmother — a truly wonderful lady. Whatever she did for our family, we will remain grateful for all our lives. From her, I learned patience… I learned how even in the hardest times, a family can be held together with peace, love, and quiet strength. She was an amazing cook, but more than that, she taught me that food is not just food — it is warmth, comfort, and a form of love that can heal people silently.
She was also my first spiritual guide, the one who introduced me to the sacred Bhagavad Gita. From her, I learned how to hold onto culture, traditions, values, and how to work selflessly without expecting anything in return. I will always be grateful to her.
Then came my mother, from whom another chapter of motherhood began. She taught me discipline, responsibility, and that even while carrying countless burdens, one can still choose happiness. From her, I learned the value of time, simplicity, and the importance of saving — not just money, but energy, emotions, and relationships too.
And now… I am learning motherhood from my son.
As he grows, I grow too — as a mother and as a person. Every single day, I learn something new from him. There was a phase in my life when I was completely broken… and somehow, he became my strength. Sometimes, I learn the difference between right and wrong through his innocent heart. He taught me what unconditional love truly means. He taught me that not everyone can be trusted, that sometimes you have to walk alone… but most importantly, he taught me how to love myself again.
What kind of mother I am, or what he is learning from me — perhaps only he can answer that someday.
But yes… as a mother, I feel deeply blessed.
And every day, I am still learning something new about love, strength, sacrifice, and myself.
