*Anti-Drug Campaign Continues to Gain Momentum in Sopore under 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan*

Sopore, April 22, 2026:
In continuation of sustained awareness efforts under the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Sopore Police further intensified outreach and enforcement activities across Police District Sopore.

A series of awareness programmes and interactive sessions were organised at multiple locations in collaboration with the Education Department and local bodies. *Programmes were held at Sher Colony and Government Degree College Bomai (Sub Division Sopore), as well as at village Laiser Rafiabad (Sub Division Rafiabad), witnessing active participation from students, local residents, and other stakeholders.*

The awareness sessions conducted at these locations remained highly interactive, with participants sharing their concerns and expressing strong support for sustained action against the drug menace.

*Sopore Police, while continuing strong enforcement against drug trafficking, are simultaneously undertaking extensive awareness drives to address the issue at the societal level.*

Youth were encouraged to stay away from harmful influences and adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, while the community was urged to actively support and strengthen the ongoing efforts.

*Sopore Police reaffirmed their commitment to sustained awareness, community engagement and strict enforcement under the 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to ensure a safer, healthier and drug-free society.*

As part of the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir campaign, the District Administration Baramulla today organized a mega Padyatra to intensify awareness against drug abuse and promote a healthier, addiction-free society.

Padhyatra was flagged off by the Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department/ District Mentor-100 days NMBA campaign, Sarmad Hafeez from Dak Bunglow in presence of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, S.F. Hamid, SSP Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh, SSP Sopore, Iftikhar Talib, ADC Baramulla, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, ADC Sopore, S.A. Raina and saw enthusiastic participation from other officers, officials, civil society members, youth and a large number of students.
