“Searching for Super Crust”
…the lost tapes

my new film about crossing Europe’s largest glacier by Bicycle. The goal was to repeat an iconic trip from the 90’s pursuing that raw exploration, friendship and problem solving that only a true expedition can provide… what it showed us was so much more.

I am kicking off a film tour in Europe next week in partnership with - screenings will be at the (dates below). I will also be celebrating the tour by riding in the Brevet FAR in Munich on May 30th. Join in on the 400km ride, or one of the shorter routes!

June 1 - Munich

June 2 - Berlin

June 3 - London

Super limited space at each showing so be sure to grab a ticket at the link in bio!

Find your purpose! Not only in photography, but in life.

A big ask, I know.. but it’s a question that I find myself revisiting periodically - where do I find joy? Inspiration? Curiosity? These things change over time, so checking in every once in a while helps me rediscover my purpose. In turn, that central theme helps me hone in on the photos I want to be taking and has a trickle down effect on the entire process.

Capturing epic landscapes differs massively from wildlife photography or shooting commercial projects, so determining where I want to focus helps me start dialling in everything else.

‘Field Notes: Iceland’
Chapter 2 - Another Planet

There’s nothing like hitting the ground running.. or in this case bikepacking.. in a completely new place. Everything is foreign & nothing is comfortable - it’s exactly how I like my adventures.

Bikepacking in Iceland is always a slight sufferfest. Any positive outlook at the start of each day receives a barrage of attacks from unexpected challenges - tire punctures, mechanical issues, bad weather… mostly Wind. Iceland’s variable terrain and temperamental climate don’t make it easier.. but its wilderness huts make it digestible.

At the end of a trying day we step into a warm, dry space where we can finally relax after hours in the saddle. For Jabba , like many, its the carrot on the stick to get through each day and recover enough to willingly face tomorrow. Its a miracle what a warm meal and dry socks can do for you..

I’m stoked to introduce

‘Field Notes: Iceland’ - a new mini series we cut specifically for instagram.

Chapter 1 - The Setup

Id been sitting on this route for 4 years after built it for me. I wanted something remote and super challenging moving North to South, but digestible enough to bring a hardy first timer along - enter , aka Jabba.

The route was a perfect right of passage for Jabba into the world of nordic bikepacking, but also a rad way for him to experience Iceland for the first time. It’s not a typical first visit somewhere.. traveling in the highlands and near the eastern rim of Vatnajokull glacier is.. chaotic, especially with the variable weather of Icelandic summers. That unpredictable wildness only made for a more memorable adventure.

huge shout out to for supporting this project! Jabba was riding the 600ADX , purpose built for rugged adventure like this.
