Aurora season 2026/2027 is beginning…

The nights in Iceland are getting darker again, and with them comes one of nature’s most magical spectacles — the Northern Lights. 💚💜
I took these photos in March, a few years ago, during one of those unforgettable nights when the whole sky seemed to come alive.

A new aurora season is starting now, and I’m already wondering what the coming months will bring — hopefully clear skies, strong activity, and many beautiful nights under the Arctic sky. 📷

Where the Sky Rests

A new aerial series from Iceland.

Seen from above, the lake becomes a quiet mirror — holding clouds, light and the shifting sky inside the dark shape of the land.
For a moment, the landscape feels suspended between earth and atmosphere, silence and movement, shadow and reflection.

This project follows one place through subtle changes of light, distance and perspective — where water turns into sky, and the earth seems to hold still.

Where Ice Holds the Sun

Where Ice Holds the Sun is a photographic series made during one evening at Jökulsárlón, Iceland.
The project follows the slow transformation of light over the glacier lagoon — from warm golden reflections to violet clouds and the quiet blue of dusk.

In these images, ice is not only a subject but a surface that receives, reflects, and holds the last light of the day. Water becomes a mirror, the glacier turns into a distant horizon, and the landscape moves between stillness and change.

This series is about the fragile moment when sunlight, ice, and water briefly become one atmosphere.

Veins of the Earth

Across the vast outwash plains of Iceland, glacial rivers spread into intricate networks of channels, carrying water, sediment, and traces of distant ice.
Seen from above, these branching forms resemble veins, arteries, and living tissues — patterns that seem more biological than geological.
The photographs explore the landscape as a living system shaped by constant movement.
Water carves its paths through volcanic sands, divides, reconnects, and transforms the terrain into an ever-changing network of flows. What appears static from the ground reveals itself as a dynamic structure when viewed from above.
Veins of the Earth is a visual study of connection, circulation, and transformation.
The images trace the hidden pathways through which water moves across the land, creating forms that echo the structures found within living organisms and revealing the landscape as a body in motion.

Glacial Script

Across the surface of the glacier, time leaves its traces in lines, fractures, and delicate patterns. Seen from above, these marks resemble an unknown script — a language written by ice, water, pressure, and movement.

These photographs explore the glacier not as a landscape, but as a surface of memory. Each line records a transformation, each fracture a passage of time. What appears abstract is, in fact, a visual record of forces continuously shaping and reshaping the ice.

Glacial Script is an exploration of these ephemeral inscriptions — marks that exist only briefly before being erased and rewritten by the glacier itself. In this ever-changing terrain, the ice becomes both the page and the author, composing a silent narrative of constant transformation.

Anatomy of the Earth

Seen from the air, the landscape reveals a hidden anatomy.
Dark channels divide and reconnect. Pale surfaces fold into delicate networks of lines and textures.

The terrain begins to resemble veins, tissues, membranes, and organs
— forms usually associated with living bodies rather than geology.
The photographs explore this visual transformation. Scale becomes uncertain.

A river system may look like a circulatory network, while volcanic plains resemble microscopic
structures observed under a lens.

Without altering the landscape, the aerial perspective uncovers patterns that seem to belong to both Earth and life itself.
Anatomy of the Earth is an exploration of these echoes
— a place where geology and biology appear to speak the same visual language.

The Pulse of Earth

The Earth breathes in fire.
Beneath layers of rock and time, immense forces gather in silence until they rise to the surface in bursts of light, heat, and motion. For a brief moment, the hidden heart of the planet becomes visible.
These images capture that moment — the pulse between stillness and eruption, between destruction and creation. Lava flows like molten blood through the Earth's veins, shaping new landscapes and reminding us that the ground beneath our feet is not fixed, but alive.
A glimpse into the rhythm of a planet in motion.

A wonderful surprise today.

My project "The Architecture of Ice" has been selected for Best of Behance.

What began as a fascination with the hidden patterns and structures of Icelandic glaciers became one of the most meaningful photographic projects I have created. Seeing it recognised by the Behance curators is both humbling and encouraging.
