After a long break, I'm so happy to be back and share my macro photos with you. To get things started, I chose this picture of a magnificent male Polyommatus celina (The Sardinian Blue) with its wings open. A close-up of a Nuragic spider (Amblyocarenum nuragicus) found at my friends' farm Azienda Agricola PensareSano , near my city about a month ago. (Visit their page for their fabulous products!)
This little one was a bit grumpy after being woken up, but she gave me a great opportunity for some macro photography. I hope you like the result!

As every year in May, I went to my usual appointment with this beautiful insect, a Libelloides corsicus, this time a male.
In the late afternoon, after admiring it in flight waiting for the shadow to arrive on the field so that it would stop flying, once it landed I was able to take some shots and this is one of the results, hoping you like it!

Hi everyone!
I'm back! After almost a year of absence, I'm reopening the doors to my little world of macro photography with an image that has me really excited: a Cuckoo wasp that I photographed for the first time.

This Cuckoo wasp is a true gem of nature. Its vibrant colors and intricate details are a real wonder for the eyes. What do you think of this little beauty?

I found it in my garden at night resting on a leaf, so I took the opportunity to take some shots of it and I hope you like the final result!

In summer I am always very busy but when I can I try to find the time to develop some pictures to show you... This is another picture from my test of the Om1 and 90 Macro received by Olympus Italia last May, this time the model is one of my spider, an adult female Phidippus regius and I hope you like her and the image too. 🤩
It's a handheld focus stacking at 2:1 magnification without any crop as usual, so the field of view is 9mm.

It is always a pleasure to meet one of these tiny sleeping bees, an Anthidiellum strigatum, and to photograph one of them!
The picture is a FS of 17 shots taken handheld with OM1 and 90mm f/3.5 Macro at about 2X magnification so the field of view is equal at 9mm. I hope you like it!

Hi all! Recently I have received the excellent OM System OM-1 camera with the M.Zuiko ED 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO lens to test them. I take this opportunity to thank OM System Italia (Polyphoto Spa) for sending me the equipment!
I'm very busy right now so I haven't had much time, but I've managed to get out and in the field and take a few photos. The problem now is to find the time to process them, but I'll try to show you some shots soon.

This is a young Swallowtail caterpillar (Papilio machaon), about 2/2,5cm in size. 🐛
The first picture is a FS of 11 shots taken handheld with natural light at about 0.75X, the second has made with the flash MK320 diffused, on the same subject, and it is a FS of 14 shots at 2X, taken handheld.

Even this spring a male Scorpion fly came to visit me in the garden and of course I taken the opportunity to take some photos of it!
Despite its name, it has nothing to do with either the fly or the scorpion, he is a Panorpa sp. of Mecoptera order.
