A vibrant city, rich in culture and heritage.

Today, I would like to introduce the Royal Temple, Wat Ratchabophit (วัดราชบพิธสถิตมหาสีมารามราชวรวิหาร), a truly special place where my nephew celebrated his wedding.
I am not here alone, but accompanied by my beautiful niece-in-law, dressed in the traditional Thai attire known as Chut Thai Siwalai, gracefully representing the elegance of Thai culture on this memorable occasion.
Bangkok is often known for its lively and energetic atmosphere, but beyond that, it is a city deeply rooted in history, tradition, and enduring cultural richness.

Shall we plan a cultural trip to Bangkok next time? 😊

It seemed like I was in heaven or some kind of that sort...

“Do you want to join me to “ ”?”, asked my boss. Sounded rather odd... so I immediately googled for the place.

It was a super sunny Sunday, a day before Germany announced the closure of its boarders due to the pandemic. I was a bit reluctant... but finally decided to go. Why not? The lockdown could be announced anytime soon and I would not be able to go out for many weeks, it it happened.

Walhalla sits on top of a hill near Regensburg. I could see surrounding small towns and rivers from up there. Quite an impressive view. I felt like I was in the heaven overlooking upon earth. Indeed, Walhalla is where Viking warriors go after death, some sort of heaven anyway, so it must be magical in some way.

OK, enough of fresh air... now it is the time to quarantine... 😌

Hallstatt… again?

I stopped keeping track on how many times I visited Hallstatt for a while already, for the reason that I had to take families or friends to visit this charming lake-side village too often. Although not too keen at first about the idea to visit Hallstatt yet another time, I still enjoy every single visit for Hallstatt.

This time, I came to Hallstatt in spring when flowers start to bloom throughout the village. With sakura blossom lightening up the solitude atmosphere, Hallstatt appear to be even more romantic than in any other seasons... the best time to enjoy Hallstatt for lovers.

Colmar - The Dreamworld

While I was in Basel, right at the border of France, I could not resist the urge to get a peak on the other side of the fence. So I chose Colmar, Alsace as my destination as it was just 45-min away by train.

Once I arrived, I headed to Colmar old town just like other tourists. I slowly explored the town, making random turns here and there. I eventually discovered “Little Venice”, a small canal lined with German timber houses on both sides. I had quite a pleasant walk in a midst of these traditional houses, feeling as if I was in a fairytale. Time seemed to pass slowly and I spent almost 4 hours walking every corners of this fairytale village.

But only when I spotted the green Mini Train….. then I realized I was not in a fairytale, but Disneyland!!!
