My new work is part of the NAFA/UAS, MFA Fine Art Open Studio at National Design Center, Annex building, Level 3, from 4 Dec 2025, 6-8pm, 5-7 Dec, 4-8pm.
My MFA project explores the myths surrounding the Mekong River, known by many names across the lands it touches. Along its length, serpent spirits—Lu, Nak, Nagar, Neak, Long—appear in different forms but share a role as guardians of water and life.
This chapter of my long term project, "The River of Many Names", focuses on the Phaya Nak myth of Laos; commonly referred to as Naga, a serpent deity tied to protection, fertility, and the rhythms of the river.
