It’s the season for family!
Throwback to our family in Ethiopia that very welcome and has thought us valuable lesson of life fron their perspectives. We are so blessed and thankful for every help and kindness.

Now we are back in Italy to spend the christmas eve, while also taking a break before another wondrous adventure ahead. Any guess where will I go?

My Ethiopian Journey is wonderful!🇪🇹

We are allowed to visit the different indigenous tribes, every tribe with it’s own unique identity. Resembling the cultural value inherited from their ancestors.

We learn a lot about life, family bond, and their survival way of life. Even some traditions considered extreme for most of people is totally common for them. Yet they are really open and humble to welcome every tourist guests, treating us as one of their family members. The love we should never take for granted

Exploring Omo Valley is exceptional!

The unusual culture, traditions, and value of life are exotic and unique. The one in this picture is Mursi Tribe.

Mursi tribe who settled inside the Mago National Park, they are renowned for the strange custom followed by their women who, on reaching maturity, have their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted. This is one of their ancient practices they still follow until this day.

For me, this tradition symbolizes perseverance and bravery of the woman who wears it

We visited Turmi, an area located at the southern part of Omo Valley where the Hmer People lives by.
As we've just arrived, we are overflowed with the community that lives there. Everyone curios about the strangers that come, as this village is not mainly visited by tourist.
A little explanation, The Hamers are a fine looking people, both men and woman take great pride in their appearance, shaving and coloring their hair, oiling their bodies and decorating themselves with beads and bracelets worn around arms and legs.
After some greeting and introducing, they suddenly changed from curious and alert into warnest welcome to all of us.
The perks of being world traveler is visiting that totally different from where we lived. An eye opening privilege to boarden our mind.

OMO Valley has many tribes that live in this area. The Mursi, Bodi (Me’en), Suri, Hamar, Daasanach, Kara (Karo), Banna, and Nyangatom (Bume). In order to explore and immerse deep with each of their culture we really suggest you to go with an arranged agents, as they will also become our translator.

We were visiting all of those tribes by staying one night with each of them. This adventure really an eye opening for those especially people who are not from the African continents.

We met and discover their way of life. The Omo has been a cultural crossroads for millennia, and thankfully we were guided by the expert so everything runs smoothly and our visit to the Omo Valley is considered and respectful.

The OMO Valley itself is a spectacularly beautiful landscapes, ranging from grasslands, volcanic outcrops, and one of the few remaining ‘pristine’ riverine forests in semi-arid Africa which supports a wide variety of wildlife.

What an amazing journey!

Welcome to this world, our future Ethiopian Leader 🇪🇹

This little boy just born one hour before we take this photo. He was delivered by the helps of a sister here in the community. So far we’ve met 3 sisters.

There’s sister as the nurse that delivered this boy, there’s a sister who has a acupuncture skills and can cure all people using natural things, and there’s a sister from Indonesia as the senior sister that leads. Everyone has their own skills and everyone has a big role in the community. So amazing!
