Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester is a place this couple keeps coming back to together to be with family and enjoy the beauty of New England summers. They are getting married here next year and we worked together despite weather and crazy schedules to capture them and their love story in a place that was super special to them. As a photographer I get so used to golden hour sessions it is so nice to mix it up sometimes and to embrace the bright sun! I came home to the sweetest thank you note in the mail from them. Thank you & it was an absolute honor to capture your love, it was truly a blast and I cannot wait for you two to make it official next year! ☀️🌊🦀🦞🌅

In the business of serving up dreams. Sarah & Evan’s Northern Italian multi-day elopement was everything they dreamed of. To see my couples vision come to life is my love language.

So much of our culture has been homogenized. We are meant to modify our appearance so we meet society’s ideal beauty standards, we are meant to check off the Tik Tok or Instagram bucket list in x country or location, we must be at this stage of life by the ideal age range. The reality is that our world is so much more complex and there is so much nuance, there are so many paths we can take.

My favorite part about weddings and elopements is that I get to give all my couples permission (not that you need it!) to create something entirely new. This isn’t to knock any trend or say that there is no place for them, but before trying to recreate a trend, I truly challenge people to ask if that trend even feels authentic to them, or fits in the goals of what they might want to create for their wedding day. Or is it just what we think we are supposed to do?

I eloped myself & our location was really intentionally picked and there wasn’t another soul up there on the mountain with us. That was what we wanted. Now not everyone wants to elope, but even if you are having a bigger wedding - do what you want not what you are supposed to do!

This multi day elopement of Sarah & Evan was a dream because I felt like I had their complete trust and each day and part felt so special. They told me their vision and we truly co-created it together.

They wanted mountains, lakes, and italian city vibes without the crowds and it’s exactly what I helped build for them!!

To say I am obsessed with this wedding and these two and this day is an understatement! Absolutely loved working at the .wedgewoodweddings Chatting with these two beforehand with all of my suggestions and arriving the day of realizing they had listened to every.single.one!! I think that is my love language as a photographer. Their timeline flowed so smoothly, they had time for all the photos they wanted and private vows at the Scituate lighthouse.

If I am being honest part of me despises social media, period. We live so much in the virtual space I think we often forget to live our real lives and only pay attention to how our lives appear on a screen that fits in our pocket.

I took an entire trip to Scotland just about a year ago and didn’t make a single post, it did in fact really happen. In some ways I feel like I am doing what my spirit craves, to live out there in real life.

I don’t need to post to feel validated in my work or as a creator.

In other ways I know my future and current couples want to know me more. To see what I am up to and my work, and likewise I love seeing my couples and their milestones, starting new businesses, building a family, traveling, all the things. As your wedding photographer I will continue to be one of your biggest fans.

As creators we also need time and space to just be, without noise and to create for pure fun, and in the spirit of creativity, and to connect with other like minded individuals and to be inspired.

With that I say cheers to folks who made this retreat possible & to the upcoming wedding season and in the spirit of balance, I plan to share more consistently with all of you as I can already feel this year will be one for the books.

Happy 6th birthday to this comfy queen! We got Kona at the beginning of COVID and I can’t believe she’s 6. I cannot picture my life without this quirky special pup, a true best friend! 🐕🐾🎉🥳

The moment I saw .dolomites I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for the start of Sarah & Evan’s elopement.

From the second they booked me they told me the vibes they wanted but they didn’t want to be in an Instagram vs. reality situation. I knew immediately from our first inquiry call that these were my people.

I was able to meet Dagmar in the off-season and get a tour of this breathtaking location in person and knew it would be the perfect spot for their first look and home base for their elopement. If you want a true luxury elopement or wedding experience, Dagmar and her team have absolutely everything right here, you truly wouldn’t have to leave the hotel.

A special shout out to today as it is her birthday, your elopement will live rent-free forever in my head, take me back to that pool though!

To say this Greece elopement was a dream would be an understatement. Since I had told and .not.corey about my elopement in Italy they wanted their version of this.

No shade to Santorini but it was about the emotion and container of being in a place with beautiful energy and focusing on the people that mattered most to them. They rented an epic airbnb with ocean views, a pool with a pretty fun slide, and we did their first look at a church by the water, then we did a winery tour where they learned about the unique biodynamic process of wine & then they said their vows as the sun set gently over the water, we shared a dinner together which would’ve been incomplete without our feline visitors, we ended the night with many tears of joy as their loved ones left them with words from their heart with some pretty epic toasts. 🥂

This microwedding at an Airbnb in CT and its ex*****on was such a team effort. From setting up the space, to the food, toasts, ceremony, their community just showed up & made it all happen.

A moment for this queen and kindred spirit getting ready. I knew from the first time I hopped on an inquiry call with I just adored her and her energy and her ability to both execute her vision but also go with the flow. When I met Ricky at our engagement session these two just have so much fun together.

When I saw her and her mom and best friend tearing up because let’s face it she is STUNNING! And the scarf?! Stop.🔥

Congrats you two 🥂🐈✨
