In the business of serving up dreams. Sarah & Evan’s Northern Italian multi-day elopement was everything they dreamed of. To see my couples vision come to life is my love language.
So much of our culture has been homogenized. We are meant to modify our appearance so we meet society’s ideal beauty standards, we are meant to check off the Tik Tok or Instagram bucket list in x country or location, we must be at this stage of life by the ideal age range. The reality is that our world is so much more complex and there is so much nuance, there are so many paths we can take.
My favorite part about weddings and elopements is that I get to give all my couples permission (not that you need it!) to create something entirely new. This isn’t to knock any trend or say that there is no place for them, but before trying to recreate a trend, I truly challenge people to ask if that trend even feels authentic to them, or fits in the goals of what they might want to create for their wedding day. Or is it just what we think we are supposed to do?
I eloped myself & our location was really intentionally picked and there wasn’t another soul up there on the mountain with us. That was what we wanted. Now not everyone wants to elope, but even if you are having a bigger wedding - do what you want not what you are supposed to do!
This multi day elopement of Sarah & Evan was a dream because I felt like I had their complete trust and each day and part felt so special. They told me their vision and we truly co-created it together.
They wanted mountains, lakes, and italian city vibes without the crowds and it’s exactly what I helped build for them!!
