In 2015, Obama eased trade with Cuba, and the people had hope. They invested in renovating their homes for Airbnb (casa Particulares). Trump came in and, of course, because Obama did something good, he erased it, and here we are. Now he’s put his boot on their neck until they cry “uncle”. Heartbreaking stuff.

Though these pictures were taken at least 5 years ago, I’m sure it hasn’t gotten better in terms of building structures. Fascinating thing is that the people here seemed to not be bothered by it. My heart goes out to Cuba. Wish we could make it better. Zoom in to the building on the right to see the face of a little girl on the second floor. Never saw her until after the fact.

Last night we went to see “44 The Musical”. About my favorite president in my lifetime! A birthday gift for me from my wife, son and his fiance. It was ultimately entertaining with satire, music and some of the great singing voices in NYC. If you like the man as much as I did or not, you should see it in this intimate venue where it runs until Jan 6, I think. We laughed and laughed.
