人間は広大な宇宙の中では本来とても小さな存在です。大判写真を用いることで距離感を生み出し、この時代に生きる人々の置かれた境遇を描き出すとともに、伝統的な山水画の形式にも呼応させようとしています。

Humans are inherently insignificant in the vastness of the universe. By using large-format photography, I aim to create a sense of distance, to depict the predicament of people in this era, and to echo the traditional landscape painting format.

本日より Gallery Photographsでは、中国四川省出身のフォトグラファー Zhang Kechun氏の作品をご紹介いたします。

Zhang氏は、急速に変化する中国の風景と人間の関係を、伝統的な山水思想に着想を得た静謐で詩的な写真によって探求しています。

この度Gallery Photographsは、彼の作品シリーズ「山と水の間で」より約24点の作品をご紹介させていただきます。

Starting from Today, Gallery Photographs is featuring Photographer Zhang Kechun from Sichuan Province, China.

Zhang Kechun explores the relationship between rapidly changing landscapes and human presence through tranquil and poetic images inspired by traditional Shanshui (landscape) philosophy.

Gallery Photographs is pleased to present 24 works from Zhang’s photographic series called "Between Mountains and Waters".
