Steve Jobs: An Inspiration
Every has someone who quietly lights the path ahead. For me, that person is Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs (1955–2011) was an American , inventor, and who transformed modern technology from cold, complex machines into intuitive tools that empowered creativity and expression. Though adopted as an infant and later a college dropout, he refused to let conventional expectations define his future.
In 1976, alongside Steve Wozniak, he co-founded Inc. in the of his parents' home, introducing the Apple I computer and laying the foundation for one of the world's most influential companies. After being forced out of Apple in 1985, Jobs could have accepted defeat. Instead, he founded and acquired Animation Studios, proving that setbacks can become the birthplace of even greater achievements.
When he returned to Apple in 1997, he led one of the greatest corporate turnarounds in business history. Under his leadership, Apple introduced revolutionary products including the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, changing the way billions of people communicate, work, learn, and create. Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
What me most is not simply what Steve Jobs built, but how he thought. He believed that belongs to people who dare to challenge convention, embrace uncertainty, and remain faithful to their purpose.
As I transitioned from Land Surveying to photography, videography, and technology, I often reflected on his journey. Like him, I found myself standing between the safety of a conventional path and the uncertainty of a dream. His story reminded me that failure is not the opposite of success; it is often the road that leads to it.
His philosophy gave me the courage to trust the calling God had placed in my heart. It reminded me that some people are not created to fit comfortably into expectations—they are created to create, to innovate, and to leave the world better than they found it.
That conviction became one of the foundations upon which was built.
Steve Jobs captured this perfectly in Apple's iconic "Think Different" manifesto—a message that continues to inspire me whenever I pick up a camera and choose purpose over comfort:
