What do you know about this tree?

The baobab (Mbuyu) (Adansonia) is an iconic, long-lived deciduous tree native to arid regions of Africa, Madagascar, and Australia. Often called the "Tree of Life" or the "upside-down tree," it is famous for its massive, fibrous trunk designed to store water during long dry seasons.
Key Characteristics
* Massive Water Storage: The spongy trunk can swell to absorb and store up to 120,000 liters (31,000 gallons) of water, enabling survival in harsh droughts.
* Longevity: Individual trees can live for well over 1,000 to 2,000 years, making them among the oldest angiosperms on Earth.
* Species Diversity: There are 8 recognized species—6 endemic to Madagascar, 1 widespread across mainland Africa (Adansonia digitata), and 1 native to northwestern Australia (Adansonia gregorii).
* Nutritional Fruit:(Mabuyu) Produces a large, hard-shelled fruit with a dry, nutrient-dense pulp rich in Vitamin C, potassium, calcium, and fiber, commonly harvested for food and beverages.
* Ecological Keystone: Provides shelter, water, and food for numerous animals (bats, birds, baboons, and insects) and supports local human communities with bark fiber, leaves, and timber alternatives.
