from - Luke 1:59-61 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
Isn't this story just so beautiful?. Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth had stayed childless for such a long time that they reached a place where they accepted the fact that they will never have children. During those times I don't know whether they had doctors where one could go and consult a specialist to see whether something could be done. But I know that is easily relatable to our current world, we have people who treat using traditional medicine and also professionals.
When a couple tries to get pregnant and they are not successful they sit down and try to strategize on how they will go about it because the neighbors will soon start asking about junior. Of course they won't tell it to your face but you will definately sense it in the atmosphere and sometimes because of the frustrations people even lose friendships because they feel judged.
This was the situation Zechariah was in but He had no idea what was waiting for him. What God had in store concerning him and his wife if only he knew he wouldn't have stayed depressed all those years. What am I trying say? God is a good God, perfect in His ways and He loves you unconditionally and eternally. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more or love you less. He has good plans for you though it might not seem like so right now, but I want you to see your future with your imagination, that beautiful future its what God has in store for you.
Dust off that discouragement and stress, begin to praise and rejoice as if it has already come to pass.
After Zechariah got the baby the neighbors of course came to celebrate with them, some they just wanted to see if this was real. This is the person they had come to identify as the couple that's childless but God had turned the situation around.
