In other new, I've been in the United States for the past few weeks. It's been great to spend time talking, laughing and investing time with my friends and family. They mean so much to me and it's been immensely refreshing to have been here and handed the gift of this time by God. Though I haven't been posting much, I've been working hard composing shots as they present themselves....and people...northern California certainly hasn't been a let down. I'm excited to show you what I've been working on during the holidays.

One friend I visited had adopted his wife's two kids last year. I asked them what their favorite memory was from the last year. Bear in mind, over the last year as a family they had visited Disney World and I think Disney Land also.

Both their son and daughter responded that it was the day they were adopted and how secure they felt now. Beautiful right?? So I'm wondering...what was your favorite memory of 2012 ?

Traveled over 17 hours from Korea to California to surprise my family for Christmas! When I called from the airport they cried:) They picked me up from the airport, and we went to where my sister Lara works. I stood in line to order a burrito and when she saw me she jumped back against the wall and started crying:) I gave her a big hug as she sobbed. I now get to spend a month in California seeing my family and friends and it's a huge blessing from God. Here's a Christmas portrait I did for my parents, James and Elizabeth Johnson.

I'm really blessed by this audience I get to display my photography for on a regular basis. It gives me great joy to show you the world as I see it through the lens of my camera.
