Chapter 3: The only thing that remains certain is the presence of uncertainty

Near Pakbeng, everyone traveling together by boat stopped to rest on the sandbank.
At first, we planned to pitch tents and sleep under the open sky. But a light drizzle began to fall — a quiet signal inviting us to reconsider where we would spend the night.

Within a few hours, as the sun dipped toward the horizon, a heavier rain followed. Those gathered around the fire decided to take the tents down, and in the end, we all returned to sleep on the boat.

This piece is written to document that shared moment. It may not be extraordinary or new, yet it was an experience rarely encountered — where a specific place and a small story became something quietly unique.
