📍 අඳුරු ස්ථානයක් තෝරාගන්න — නගරයේ ඇති දීප්තිමත් ආලෝකවලින් ඈත්වන්න.
🌑 චන්ද්‍රයා නොපෙනෙන රාත්‍රියක් තෝරාගන්න — අමාවක කාලය වඩාත් සුදුසුයි.
☁️ වලාකුළු රහිත අහසක් එන තුරු බලාපොරොත්තු වන්න — වලාකුළු සහ මීදුම නිසා ක්ෂීර පථය සැඟවී යා හැක.
👀 ඇස් අඳුරට හුරු වීමට ඉඩ දෙන්න — විනාඩි 15–20ක් පමණ අඳුරේ සිටින්න.
🧭 දකුණු අහස දෙස බලන්න — වසරේ කාලය අනුව ක්ෂීර පථය එම දිශාවේ පැහැදිලිව දැකගත හැක.
✨ අහස හරහා විහිදෙන තරු සහ දූවිලිවලින් යුත් මඳ ආලෝක පටිය සොයන්න.

📍 Find a dark location — get away from bright city lights.
🌑 Choose a moonless night — around a New Moon is ideal.
☁️ Wait for clear skies — clouds and haze can hide the Milky Way.
👀 Let your eyes adjust — give them 15–20 minutes in darkness.
🧭 Look toward the southern sky — the Milky Way can be prominent there depending on the time of year.
✨ Look for the faint band of stars and dust stretching across the sky.
