Red-vented Bulbul
The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a small passerine bird native to tropical southern Asia. Recognizable by its dark head, white rump, and red undertail coverts, it has adapted well to urban and rural habitats. The species is notable for its loud, varied calls and ecological role as both seed disperser and, in some regions, an invasive bird.
Rain turned the forest silent for a moment, and then this Red-vented Bulbul exploded into motion right in front of my lens. I wanted this frame to feel alive โ not perfectly still, but wild, messy, and real. The blurred wings, the soaked feathers, and the flying raindrops tell the story of a bird refusing to hide from the storm. For me, this photo is about energy inside chaos and the beauty hidden in a rainy second most people would miss.๐ฆ
