තෙල් මුරයක් පූජා කළ නිසාවෙන් " තෙල්ලඹුර " නාමයත්, කෙත් වතු වලින් වටවූ රමණීය භූමි භාගයකට උරුමකම් කියනා නිසාවෙන් " ඛෙත්තාරාම " නම ලැබී ඇති බවත් ජනප්රවාදයේ සඳහන් වෙනවා.
පෞරාණික බව විදහා පානා සංකේත අතර ඉපැරැණි විහාර මන්දිරය, සතර දේවාල මන්දිරය ප්රධාන වේ.
තෙල්ලඹුර ශ්රී ඛෙත්තාරාම විහාරස්ථානයේ ආදිකතෘන් වහන්සේලා කිහිපනමක්ම වැඩ සිටි අතර කාලයාගේ ඇවෑමෙන් වර්තමානයේ විහාරාධිපතීත්වය, ස්වරභඤ්ඤ විශාරද, කර්මවාචාර්ය, අතිගෞරවනීය ලේල්වල ඉන්ද්රජෝතී ලොකු හාමුදුරුවන් වහන්සේට
හිමිව ඇත.
ලේල්වල ඉන්ද්රජෝතී ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ විසින් එවකට විහාරාධිපතිව වැඩ සිටි පූජනීය කොක්මාදූවේ සරණපාල නායක ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේගේ කාලයේ, එනම් 1969 වර්ෂයේ කුඩා මල් පෙරහැරක් පවත්වන්නට විය.
කෙමෙන් කෙමෙන් බාධක , දුෂ්කරතා මැද මෙකී මල් පෙරහැර සංවර්ධනය වෙමින් ,උඩරට ,පහතරට ,සබරගමමු යනාදී සකලවිධ කලාවන්ගේ පරිපූර්ණව දැවැත්ත පෙරහැරක් ලෙස විචිත්රවත් විය.
වාර්ෂිකව පවත්වන්නට යෙදුණු මේ මහා සංස්කෘතික මංගල්යය ,පෙරහැර ආරම්භයේ සිට 57 වසරක් ගෙවෙනා තැන, එනම් 2026 වසරේදීද,
ස්වරභඤ්ඤ විශාරද ,කර්මවාචාර්ය ලේල්වල ඉන්ද්රජෝතී ලොකු හාමුදුරුවන් වහන්සේගේ අනුශාසකත්වය මත සාර්ථකව පවත්වා නිමාවට පත්කරන්නට යෙදිණි. 🙏❤️

Thellambura Sri Khettarama Ancient Temple An ancient temple belonging to the Kandy period.
Legend has it that it got the name "Thellambura" because an oil mill was offered, and "Khettarama" because it inherited a beautiful piece of land surrounded by plantations.
Among the many symbols of antiquity, the ancient temple, Satara Devala Mandir is the main one.
Thellambura Sri Khettarama temple was inhabited by several monks, and now the headship of the temple, Swarabhanna scholar, Karmavacarya, and the most noble Laylwala Indrajothi, is owned by the great monk.
In 1969, a small flower parade was organized by Leylwala Drajoti Thero during the time of Saranapala Nayaka Thero, who was the head of the temple.
Slowly the barrier, the development of this flower parade in the middle of the remote country, the perfection of all kinds of arts like Uda, Pahatharata, Sabaragamamu etc. became splendid as a parade.
57 years have passed since the beginning of this great cultural festival, the year 2026.
Under the patronage of Karmavacarya Laylwala Indrajothi, the scholar of Swarabhagna, successfully completed it..! 🙏
