“Across the face of the Sun.”

Captured during the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Air Force, this moment shows a helicopter flying across the blazing disk of the Sun, creating a striking silhouette against the evening sky. Look closely and two dark Sunspots can be seen on the Sun’s surface—cooler regions caused by intense magnetic activity. The perfect alignment of aircraft and sunlight turned this aerial display into a rare and dramatic celestial frame.

📍 Captured during the SLAF 75th Anniversary Air Show

Above the restless waters of Sri Lanka’s reservoirs stands a predator shaped by patience.

The Grey-headed Fish Eagle does not rush.
It studies the wind.
It reads the ripples.
It waits for the one mistake beneath the surface.

And when the moment comes —
there is no second chance.

A freshwater apex hunter.
Calm. Calculated. Unquestioned.

“Recyclable… But Still in the Wild.”

This Grey-headed Swamphen was photographed in its natural wetland habitat — holding a cup clearly marked 100% recyclable.

The issue is not whether the product is recyclable.
The issue is whether we actually recycle it.

Even sustainable packaging becomes pollution when it is discarded irresponsibly. Wetlands are not landfills. Wildlife should not have to interact with our waste — recyclable or not.

Recycling starts after disposal.
Responsibility starts before that.

Let’s discuss:

Are we disposing waste properly in parks and wetlands?

Is recycling accessible enough?

What habits do we need to change?

Being recyclable is good.
Ending up in nature is not.
