S. Thomas’ College, Gurutalawa, held its Annual Prize Giving Ceremony on 7 August 2026, celebrating the achievements and excellence of our students.

We were honoured to welcome our Chief Guest, Mr. Anil Gammampila, and Guest of Honour, the Rt. Rev. Dushantha Lakshman Rodrigo, Bishop of Colombo.

It is with profound sadness that S. Thomas’ College, Gurutalawa mourns the passing of Dr. Frank Jayasinghe, who served as Headmaster of the College from 1965 to 1968.

Dr. Jayasinghe was a distinguished educationist whose leadership, dedication to excellence, and commitment to the values of the College left an enduring legacy. He will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by generations of Thomians and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, former colleagues, students, and friends.

May he rest in eternal peace.
