And just like that, my last day as student physical therapist. The past 12 weeks have been nothing but a rollercoast of an experience and a testament of what a a clinician deserves as a workplace. But the past 3 years have been nothing but surreal and the prívela he I strived towards since high school. Now, we March on to Graduation, with my love .bronisz by my side.

1. Several of my hairs

I couldn’t have done it without .bronisz for all the time we spent practicing, working hard together, and tirelessly bettering each other over the past 2 years.

On to new things and continuing the journey of becoming a physical therapist!

I PASSED! By the thinnest of margins I passed.
Long story short, I had to retake a retake of a practical exam that I failed….and I passed. So on to clinical next term! .bronisz has been my #1 fan through all of this and I couldn’t have done it without her ☺️.

Next on the todo list is foot surgery on Wednesday. If all goes well, I’ll be none weight bearing for a few weeks and then I can slowly return to activities of life.

This foot/knee issue has been so frustrating over the last 1.5 years. I haven’t been able to exercise the way I have wanted to for so long. And hopefully this surgery will help me return to that. We shall see!

It’s been almost a year in PT school and it still feels surreal.

Getting into PT school was something I had been envisioning — and failing — to do for years. When it finally happened and everything came to fruition, it never really hit me how I finally achieved what I have been striving towards for years.

And as the weeks and months have gone by, it still hasn’t really hit me yet as many of my attentions have been elsewhere.

I have been side tracked this year with several very frustrating injuries in which I have gone from being the clinician to being the patient who fails physical therapy.

This experience of being treated by a PT, and subsequently failing conservative care (so far), showed me exactly the type of physical therapist I don’t want to be; one that doesn’t listen to their patient, shotgun’s their attempts at fixing the problem, and calling quits on conventional options too quickly.

As frustrated, angry, and sidelined I’ve been by my injuries this year, at there have been many lessons learned from the point of view of a frustrated patient who fails PT.
