A throw back, and a love letter, to when I had two working knees ✌🏼😂😭
Dear knees,
We used to do some pretty amazing things…
You led us up (several) mountains.
You landed some questionable jumps, stayed up right on slippery logs and carried more than your fair share of camping gear.
You hiked, biked, ran, skied, leapt, swam, paddled without care or hesitation.
You held beer cans during our floats.
You held your own when my fur babies wished to go one way, and the rest of me did not.
You could bend and straighten without thought.
You allowed me to, discreetly, squat in the woods.
We ran to catch flights, sunsets and client meetings.
Sure, you may have been scraped, bumped, tired, and at times, questioned the brain calling the shots. But most importantly, we were a team, not constantly at war.
I’d love to see us work seamlessly together again one day - whenever you’re ready - but preferably sooner than later.
With hope, lots of physio, an upcoming surgery, and love…
Your impatient human ✌🏼
